Get Qualified

Not sure where to start?
We'll clear it up!

Some trainers can be ready to start within 2–3 months, depending on how quickly the required qualifications are completed and awarding-organisation approval is in place.

For door supervision, CCTV, security guarding and close protection, the SIA requires at least 2 years’ front-line operational experience within the last 5 years. For most sectors, that experience must be within the UK; for close protection, awarding organisations may accept experience from outside the UK.

The SIA requires the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or an accepted equivalent (examples listed include PTLLS/PGCE and other recognised teaching qualifications at the same level). The awarding organisation can confirm whether a qualification counts as equivalent.

Yes. For example, delivering conflict management requires a Level 3 qualification in the delivery of conflict management training. Delivering physical intervention has additional requirements, including the relevant Level 3 deliverer qualification and an up-to-date annual certificate from an approved programme provider.

Yes. Trainers/assessors/internal quality assurers must complete 40 hours of CPD every year and be able to evidence it.

Get Licensed currently states trainers can earn over £47,000 annually (earnings vary based on availability and how much delivery is taken on).

Courses run across the UK, and Get Licensed operates through a network of training partners delivering in 85+ locations.
