Are you ready to help your community?

The coronavirus (COVID19) is forcing many of us to self-isolate. Whilst most of us are at a low-risk if we do contract the virus, many of our vulnerable community members will need our help and increasingly thousands will be required to self-isolate.

Join our mission as a volunteer and help your local community by helping them self-isolate.

Don’t have an SIA licence?

You can still volunteer as a responder on the GoodSAM app

Please do not offer to volunteer if you have any of the following symptoms:

a high temperature - you feel hot to touch on your chest or back

a new, continuous cough – this means you’ve started coughing repeatedly

Stay at home - do not visit a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital

Only use the NHS 111 service if you cannot cope or your condition worsens

How it works

Someone needs help

Anyone who needs help fills in a form providing their details.

Local volunteers get notified

We notify volunteers that someone in their local area needs help.

Local heroes help the community

Volunteers get in touch directly and provide assistance.

Have a question?

SIA licence holders have their identity and criminality checks completed by the SIA. To provide a safe platform to those in need of help, having a valid SIA licence is a requirement to join as a volunteer.

Validating your facebook account also helps us identify who you are.

Please note: We do not share your details with anyone. You details are only held for the purposes of validating your identity.

You do not need to have a car to join as a volunteer. Some help requests may require the use of a car, you don't have to respond to those help requests.

You do not need to respond to a help request if you are unable to help. We will send the help request to others in the area who may be able to help.

Get Help is an initiative by our team at Get Licensed as a response to the COVID19 emergency.

We match help requests with volunteers in the area. If a help request is generated in your area we will send you an SMS notification. If you are available to help, you will be able to reach out to those in need.

We have produced a guide available here to help you stay safe and protected whilst you volunteer to help.
